When an alert affects the city you're in, the first question from your loved ones is simple: are you okay? Mira Chat now lets you answer with a single tap.
These new features are built on Mira Safe, our risk-monitoring service, and are available in the latest versions of Mira Chat on iOS and Android.
“I'm safe,” to reassure the people who matter
When an alert concerns your area, Mira Chat explains it to you: what it is, when it applies, and where the information comes from. An “I'm safe” button then lets you notify your emergency contacts instantly. They receive a reassuring message in your conversation, without you having to do anything.
On iPhone, the alert can also appear on the lock screen, with “I'm safe” directly accessible. On Android, a banner plays the same role.
Choosing your emergency contacts
You can choose your emergency contacts in the settings and from the screens where you'd naturally think of them. The person you designate is informed simply, in a way that doesn't feel like an alert. And if you haven't designated anyone yet, Mira Chat tells you clearly rather than letting you believe your loved ones have been notified.
Tracking a flight
When a flight appears in a conversation, you can turn on “Track this flight.” It joins your “My tracked flights” list, and you receive a notification to be alerted of any changes.
